Join our awards

What do you get?

We are an inclusive award and aim to engage with as many children and schools as we possibly can. These awards are open to every UK school, regardless of phase, type or location. Last year we were joined by over 150 schools nationwide and we want to reach even more this time around!

We want children to be central to everything we do - that's why we are give them the power to decide the winners of our awards. The books are written for them after all! 

Participating in the awards will give you:

• One set of the shortlisted books in the relevant categories.

• Access to online author events for each shortlisted book, plus a bespoke introductory video.

• A time-limited discount to purchase further copies of the shortlisted books.

• The chance to nominate disadvantaged pupils to recieve a free set of shortlisted books in one category.

• Publicity materials (both paper and online) including our annual Buzz magazine.

• A list of possible approaches and assorted resources.

• Access to our back catalogue of online author events.

• Access to our competitions for pupils, giving them a chance to win a trophy of their own, book vouchers and other great prizes.

• The chance to be named the Spark! School of the Year, receive a trophy and £100 of books for your school library.

There is a small charge of £65 for each award category you participate in, which enables us to organise and run these awards. All income will be used solely for the Spark! Book Awards or projects initiated by us. This may include a proportion of your entry fee going towards our Book Fund, which provides books to the pupils who need them most, so you'll be helping others out too.
